The Rosemary garden is snuggled into an alcove surrounded on three sides by the brick walls of the Rosedale Queen-Mary United Church. The warmth the brick walls keep in, and the wind shelter they provide, make up for more than the shade they cast on the garden in the late afternoon. Members of the congregation share the garden with a dozen volunteers recruited through community groups. We installed an extension behind the church last year to accommodate the growing number of children in the group.
