Collective gardening |
 |
 he people who work at Action Communiterre's gardens are volunteers recruited through the NDG Food Depot and community organizations across NDG, neighbors or just people who wants to learn about garnening. We gather once or twice a week to share the labor and the harvest at each garden. Collective workdays are lead by a group leader (animator) responsible for training participants in organic growing. Gardeners share the fruits of their labor among themselves, with the remainder distributed through the NDG Food Depot, community organizations and social services in the neighborhood. There's many activities through the season like workshops on democratic life, seedsaving, nutrition, medecinal plants, etc.
In september, it's the Harvest Fest, an event for and by the gardeners. Wa have also winter activities like workshop on seeds and fruit trees pruning
Fun for everybody all year!
